Marta Jagoda-Blaszczak ( mediator/ mediation project developer)
Marta is a certified Court Mediator and Restorative Justice Facilitator holding a Master’s Degree in Polish Law. She has been leaving in the UK for the last two years and over that time, she has developed a set of transferable mediation skills. Her main areas of interest include the following subjects: mediation strategies vs Integrity patterns, immigrants in the UK and mediation methods as well as restoring a balance between parties in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). She would like to continue with her research with the main focus on the differences between the elements of a conflict in various cultures on the example of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Additionally, Marta was born in Poland and is our key facilitator of the Polish stakeholder engagement.
I have realized that, in order to continue with my research, it is necessary to understand the intercultural communication technics and acculturation process. I believe that the activities of UK CEE Mediation Consultancy will provide an outstanding facilitation of intercultural dialogue. One of the results of the activities run by the Mediation Consultancy is allowing the participants of the communication dialogue to be settled in safe and neutral environment. Mediation creates a base for dialogue in a multicultural society. Safe and neutral environment created by the mediation allows to eradicate gaps in the communication and facilitates effective and quick communication.
